Really?

by Jeannie
(El Paso, Texas)

A couple weeks back I worked four days straight at the call center for a local insurance company. Even though it's only a part time job, it's just enough for me. So, I get home from work. I said hello to my mom. It was over 100 degrees outside and she didn't have the a.c. on. Really?

When I questioned her as to why she didn't turn the unit on, she said that she had; she missed the on button by a smidgen. She had been in bed for hours watching t.v. I said that I was going to make me some dinner. She asked if I was going to make something for her and I flatly said no.

Really? I feel bad being such a bitch, but I know that she wasn't hungry. God, help me!
