I've heard of scrapbooking, but what is printable scrapbooking? After doing a little bit of research, I realized that printable scrapbooking was merely a term used to describe an option of repeatable printing designs, frames, borders, page templates, backgrounds, and embellishments that are used in scrapbooking projects. Whew!

When my mom expressed an interest to create a memory scrapbook for each of us kids, I took her to the local craft store, amazed at the variety of printable scrapbook options.

Printable scrap booking incorporates everything from clip art to pre-printed scrapbook sheets with a variety of backgrounds, designs, and themes.

My mom got very involved choosing among the dozens of options, and really enhanced her creativity and imagination when it came to developing the pages she wanted in each of the books.

Printable scrapbooking supplies truly enhanced her ability to make a customized, individual scrapbook for each of the kids. I now purchase printable scrapbooking supplies, themes, and pages for our craft activities at the long-term care center where I work. They're a big hit!

You can also get printable scrapbooking designs and themes that focus on cartoons, Western designs, the funky 60s, and even vintage designs. These are especially fun for creating scrapbooks for a wide variety of age groups.

I took my aunt, diagnosed with mild Alzheimer's, to the craft store to get some scrapbooking pages, but she quickly became overwhelmed with the choices.

I learned my lesson. I now go to the craft store by myself and get scrapbooking pages and clipart and take them home so that she's not quite so overwhelmed with the decision-making process.
