Overwhelmed

by Chris
(St. Louis)

I have been a caregiver for over 5 years now. My father had his first stroke 5 years ago. He continued to have them until his passing in March of this year.

My husband was laid off from his job 8 years ago and 4-1/2 years ago he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Rectal Cancer and will continue to be in treatment for the rest of his life.

During this time period he has had 10 surgeries and 3 heart attacks. Since my father's passing I am also the caretaker for my 95 year old mother, who refuses to leave her house.

I am the sole provider for my husband and I for financial support, health insurance and am responsible for every part of our lives.

I am worn out, depressed and exhausted.

Any ideas on relieving some of these stress would be most appreciated.
