My Mum

by Linda

My mum is getting quite old now she is 82 years old and she has always been very strong right through her 70's and now last year and this year her back is hurting so badly and her feet hurt. She can hardly walk as she needs to use a walking frame now but often ops out for a shopping trolley to lean on.

Any form of exercise she is wearing and she gets exhausted quickly I’m worried about her x I nursed my Dad for two years before he died, that was heartbreaking.

To watch my mum go down hill too is very difficult x I love my mum 💕

love to mum

I am sorry you are going through this. You are not alone. Where are you caring for your mom? Try to keep your stress level in check. We all know that day is coming, but every time it hits you like a ton of bricks. Still crying to this day.

I've watched my FIL go first, then my dad, then my best friend of 40 years from cancer, then my brother in law, which then freaked out my MIL and she died two months later.

Then my sister in law collapsed from heart attack two months later after caring for MIL for 3-4 years and still keeping her job. Grieving is the most crazy thing, it hits you at the most inopportune times. It's embarrassing, I can't control it out in public. I just break down. Too much is happening too fast.

My advice to you is treasure every moment you have left with your mum. I think most of us loves our moms, you hear a lot of venting, but you must get it out somehow. Good Luck to you and yours.
