My Dad has Dementia and My Brothers are Drug Addicts

by Liz
(Phoenix, AZ)

My dad has been to showing signs of dementia for 10 years he let one of my drug-addicted brother's take all his money and they dismantled his house and stripped it of copper so now he lives with me and my dad wants to give my drug-addicted brother's money to help them buy cars and stuff but he doesn't realize he doesn't have anymore money cuz he already let them take it and then he's accusing me of stealing his money it's frustrating.

He is now refusing to bathe and I have to result to threatening him to a nursing home if he doesn't bathe he is incontinent so he sits in his diapers for weeks and they disintegrate in the back of my house smells like urine I tried to get hospice to come in but he accuses them of inappropriate behavior.

I work full time so when I go to work he's laying in his own filth in my house when he falls and I have to pick him up and clean the entire house when I get home because it stinks so bad of urine he throws food on the floor for his dogs and sometimes it just sits there so I have to clean that up he pees all over the bathroom.
