Just So Tired

by Angela
(San Antonio)

I have been taking care of my elderly mother for four years since my Dad passed. It has interfered with my personal life and the life of my child.

My mother is very demanding and does not want to visit her other children unless I am with her.

She insists on coming with me anytime I make plans to take my child (he's 8) on a vacation or just to spend time with his Father and I. My significant other is very supportive but I am sure he is tiring of this arrangement.

You see I actually moved into her house at my Dad's request to tend to her needs. She does not drive and she does not believe in going to any type of senior activity. I am at my wits end.

I have talked to her endlessly asking her nicely to basically to please go stay with my brother who would like nothing more than for her to come stay with him for an extended period but she refuses.

I am just sooooooooo tired.
