Elderly Fall Prevention

by Susan
(Greely CO)

Hello,

Fall Prevention has been on our mind as Dad has gotten older....had his 88th birthday last month.

Just last week he nearly fell from a loose rug at the sink in the kitchen. I immediately went to our local Home Depot and bought the rubberized netting looking stuff, cut it to fit under the rug and just like that, no more slippery rug. We started looking around and there were two more that need the same treatment.

I am not sure he is totally safe around this house, however the rugs seem to be less of a scarey thought.
