Druggin and Falling

My 85 year old grandma thinks she is invincible on Hydrocodone. She has fallen 4 times in 7 days. Often at 1 or 2 am.


She will not stay in bed at night. She will not quit overdoing it. I've had to put up baby gates to keep her from rummaging constantly through all her clutter. Uh. Just tired.

I understand how you would be tired, it is exhausting. I am in control of my mothers medications now, so it makes it easier and safer.

They just prescribed Klonopin to help her sleep, but she will fall in the night. I can put the rail up on the bed, but I don't know, I heard they can get caught in them.

This is a big responsibility and I have no support. Falling is a big problem, I put gates on the steps, but if this gets any worse I will have to put her in the hospital. For her own safety and my own peace of mind.
