Disgusted with My Mother

by Mara
(USA)

I'm sad for my mom, but in her present state, but have no other option but nursing home for her. (She just called me: asking me if I'm just going to let her die there).

Implying that I haven't done enough,(but I was there today & cleaned her puke & feces up, cuz the aides were busy).

I'm disgusted with my mother, since I was wondering today if I should try to bring her to my home. (Now I know it would be a thankless waste of my life). She is a horrible woman. God forgive me.

Disgusted with My Mother

Whatever you do, don't bring her into your home. We moved my mom in with us and it's been a miserable experience.

Unless an elderly parent has dementia or Alzheimer's, I don't understand how they can put such guilt on their kids.

If I should need constant care and my sons want to put me in AL or a NH, I will understand and not make them feel guilty as long as my mind is in tact.

It's an unfair thing to do to your kids.
