Elderly Father Driving and is Becoming a Menace
by: Charlene

I read your post and looks like there are a lot of us out there with elderly driver parents that don't understand that their driving is becoming a dangerous thing to do.

The freedom of driving versus the danger to them and others seems to override one another. I have often thought that he should see the danger and at the very least not want to go to his grave knowing that he lived all of his life without hurting anyone or sending someone to the hospital until he does.

Everything is okay until the moment it isn't...then it is way too late to take it back...keep trying to talk to him and maybe he will see the light sooner than later. I will do the same.

I am even going to have my brother speak to him about it. Brother did not give it much thought until he was down here visiting last time and commented on it...he needs to step up and help me out with this here.
