Caregiver to My Mother

by Betsey
(Central Coast California)

My brother and I alternative caregiving. We each take on 3 weeks each. My mom is almost 101 years old. She is very pleasant to everyone else, but is often very unkind and unpleasant with me, her only daughter. She is angry, impatient, super-critical, nasty even, and insults me frequently. I am trying my very hardest to take the best care of her that I can. It has gotten so bad I can barely take care of her as she is uncooperative and resentful of needing my help. I am desperate.
